Steam doesn’t let you peek at your current password (for obvious security reasons). If you think your account’s been compromised or you just wanna change it for peace of mind, just reset it. Can change it faster than you can say 'Half-Life 3 confirmed'.

I once thought I could outsmart Steam by trying to find a backdoor to check my password - spoiler: didn't work. Just reset it. It's easier and saves you the trouble of wearing a hacker hat.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there's no direct way to 'check' your current password on Steam for security reasons. If you're trying to remember it because you forgot, your best bet is to reset it. Just head over to the Steam login page, click on ‘Forgot your password?’ and follow the steps to set a new one. Steam's gonna make sure it's YOU trying to reset it, so have your email or phone handy!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
