For a quick check, tap yourself (your in-game avatar, not literally). The stardust amount's right there.

Hit your avatar's face in the corner, and BAM! There's your stardust total.

Just tap on your trainer icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen, then you'll see your stardust amount right under your profile info.
