How to Cheese Golem in Terraria
Easy peasy, cheesing Golem is all about setup. First, clear out a nice big space in the Golem's temple room to move around. Then, make yourself a box high enough so that Golem's lasers can't hit you. Use a weapon that can go through walls, like the Death Sickle, and just whack away from the safety of your box. Works like a charm!

The real cheese? Platforms, my friend. Build a platform high up, but not too high that you trigger Golem's head to detach. Stand on it and rain down arrows or magic. Golem's attacks will hardly touch you. It's how I beat him on my first try, and it felt like a walk in the park.
If you wanna cheese Golem, just use the Nurse NPC. Place her house near the Golem's chamber. When your health gets low, teleport to her, heal up, and get back into the fight. Rinse and repeat until Golem is history. It's a bit of a cheese, but hey, a win is a win.
Honestly, just get the best gear you can and go in guns blazing. Who needs to cheese when you have pure skill?
