To chop trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, first, you gotta get yourself an axe. But not just any axe – start with the Flimsy Axe from Timmy or Tommy at Nook's Cranny, or craft one using the DIY recipe you get early in the game. Once you're armed and ready, just stand in front of a tree and swing that axe! Three hits should do the trick to fully chop down a tree. Remember, if you want to keep the tree and just gather wood, hit it lightly so it stays standing.

Quick tip for all you lumberjacks out there: wanna chop trees without turning your island into a barren wasteland? Upgrade to a Stone Axe! It lets you collect wood without chopping the trees down completely. Keep those trees happy and your wood stockpile high!

Actually, you don’t always have to chop 'em down. Equip a shovel, dig up the whole tree after eating a piece of fruit for that super strength, and relocate it instead. Save the trees, save the world, am I right?

Nah, why chop when you can befriend? Just kidding, but remember, in ACNH, every tree chopped is a potential furniture piece lost or a resource gained. Choose wisely!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
