Open Fortnite and go to the main menu. Head to the gifting section, where you can see and claim any gifts you've received from friends.
Just check your notifications! Fortnite usually tells you when you get something, and then you just follow the steps to claim it.
Once you get a gift notification, just click through it. Fortnite makes it super easy to accept gifts and add them to your inventory. You'll find your new items in your Locker!
