I had this issue last week. First, unplug the PS4 and gently use compressed air to remove loose dust. If it’s still not working, try a CD/DVD lens cleaner. That worked wonders for me!

Compressed air. Seriously, it gets out the weirdest, tiniest particles. Just remember to keep the can upright so no liquid sprays out.

Start by turning off and unplugging your PS4. Carefully use compressed air to blow out any dust from the disc drive. If that doesn't do the trick, you might need a cleaning disc or a microfiber cloth with a bit of isopropyl alcohol. Just be gentle!

I took my PS4 apart to clean the disk drive once. It’s more hassle than it’s worth. Just use compressed air. Trust me.

Honestly, a microfiber cloth and a little bit of isopropyl alcohol on the outside works best. Just be gentle and patient.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
