First, make sure you back up any saved games you want to keep. Then, uninstall XCOM 2 through your platform's game library (Steam, Epic Games, etc.). After that, delete any leftover game files in the installation directory. Finally, reinstall the game through your platform. Game on!

I had to clean install after a mod broke everything. Just uninstall from Steam, delete the remaining files in the game directory, and reinstall. Worked like a charm for me!
