If you're feeling adventurous, disassemble the PS3, carefully, and use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the lens. Just be sure you're comfortable with taking things apart and putting them back together!

Just buy a new console. Cleaning the lens is too tedious and delicate!

Easy peasy! Use a Blu-ray lens cleaner disc. It's like a regular disc but with tiny brushes to clean the lens as it spins. You can find these on Amazon or your local electronics store.
