Two words: isopropyl alcohol. Dab some on a cotton swab and clean around the analog sticks. That should do the trick.

Remove the thumbsticks and soak them in warm soapy water for a few minutes. Rinse, dry thoroughly, and reassemble. Works like a charm!

I had the same issue. Turn it off, get a can of compressed air, and blast around the sticks. Follow up with a gentle wipe down using an alcohol-soaked cloth. Good as new!

First, turn off your PS3 and remove the controller. Use a microfiber cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol to gently clean the area around the analog sticks. If it's still sticky, you might need to open the controller and clean inside. Just be careful with those tiny screws!

Just buy a new controller. Trust me, it's less hassle and you get that fresh feel!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
