Gently eject the disc and turn off the console. Use a can of compressed air to blow out any dust from the disc slot. Avoid touching the internal parts!

You can also use a lens cleaning disc specifically designed for gaming consoles. Insert it into your PS3 and let it do its magic.

I had the same problem! I used a soft microfiber cloth and some isopropyl alcohol on the exterior slot. Worked like a charm!
