First, power down your console and unplug it. Use a microfiber cloth with some isopropyl alcohol to clean the exterior of the disc drive. For the inside, use a can of compressed air to blow away any dust gently.

I've had luck using a disc drive cleaner kit. Just pop the cleaning disc into the drive and follow the instructions. Works like a charm!

Make sure to clean the discs themselves before inserting them. Sometimes it's just the disc that's dirty, not the drive.
