Definitely back up your data first! After that, head to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 and opt for Full Initialization to wipe it clean. Takes some time but worth it!

First, back up any data you want to keep using an external drive or PlayStation Plus cloud storage. Then, go to Settings > Initialization > Restore Default Settings. Finally, choose Initialize PS4 and select Full Initialization. This wipes all your data and restores the PS4 to factory settings. Easy peasy!

Been there, done that! Make sure you deactivate your PSN account on the PS4 by going to Settings > Account Management > Activate as Your Primary PS4, and then choose Deactivate. Then, follow through with the full initialization process. Worked like a charm for me!

Quick tip: Just go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 > Full. Boom, your PS4's as clean as a whistle and ready to sell!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
