How to Climb Up Things in XCOM 2

To climb up things in XCOM 2, just move your cursor to the edge of a building or structure and look for the icon that indicates climbable surfaces, like ladders or pipes. This icon will show you if your soldier can get to higher ground. Click on the desired position, and your soldier will scale it like a pro!

Just click on the edge of the roof or building you want to climb. If there's a ladder or pipe, your soldier will climb up automatically.

Been there, done that! When you move your cursor to a ledge or structure with a ladder or pipe, a special icon appears. Just select the position, and up they go!
