I prefer pressing the ‘/’ key to open or close chat. It's way faster!
If the '/' key isn't your thing, you can hit the 'ESC' key, go to Settings, and toggle chat off from there.
No need for any fancy moves, just press the '/' key or adjust your settings. Done and done.
