To close games on your Steam Deck, just press the Steam button to bring up the Steam Overlay, then navigate to the 'Exit Game' option. Super easy and gets you right back to the main menu!

Hold down the Steam button and select 'Shut Down' or 'Suspend' if you're looking to not just close the game but give your Steam Deck a little rest. Remember, even gaming heroes need a break!

Quick tap of the power button on your Steam Deck will also prompt you with an option to close the game. It's like saying 'night night' to your game, quick and gentle.

Just ALT+F4. Wait, just kidding – that's the old-school way on a PC. Stick to the Steam button + Exit Game for a seamless experience.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
