First, click the arrow in the top-right corner of Facebook and select 'Settings & Privacy.' Next, go to 'Settings,' then 'Your Facebook Information,' and finally 'Deactivation and Deletion.' Choose 'Delete Account,' follow the prompts, and you're free!

In my experience, just head to 'Settings,' then 'Your Facebook Information,' choose 'Deactivation and Deletion,' and follow the steps to delete it.
