Simply turn on both controllers, and press the Xbox button on each. If they don't automatically connect, press the sync button on the Xbox console and then on the controllers. Easy peasy.

Just press the Xbox button on each controller to power them up and they should connect automatically. If not, press the console’s sync button and then the controllers’ sync buttons. Done.
