I’ve done this a million times! Just hold the PS button and the Share button on your controller until it starts flashing. Then, go to your PS3 settings, find Bluetooth Devices, and select your controller from the list. Easy peasy.

Super simple! Turn on your PS3, go to Settings > Accessory Settings > Manage Bluetooth Devices. Press the sync button on your controller, then select 'Register New Device' on the PS3. Follow the on-screen instructions, and bam, you're good to go!
