Format your drive to FAT32, plug it into the USB port, and let the PS3 do its magic. Easy peasy!

Just make sure your external hard drive is formatted to FAT32, then plug it into one of the USB ports on your PS3. It'll show up under 'Music,' 'Video,' or 'Pictures' depending on the content!

I've done this a bunch of times. Format the HDD to FAT32, plug it into the USB port, then you can access your files from the XMB menu. Works like a charm!

Honestly, it's not worth the hassle. Get a bigger internal HDD for the PS3 instead.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
