For wireless, get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Then, go to Settings > Accessory Settings > Manage Bluetooth Devices on your PS3 to pair them.

Super easy! Just plug your USB keyboard and mouse into the USB ports on the front of your PS3. The system should recognize them immediately!
