How to Connect Power to Lights in Fallout 4
Simple! Just place a generator and then place the lights within the generator's area of effect. You don't need wires for the lights themselves, but make sure your generator is connected to a power pylon or conduit that's near your lights. The electricity will kinda 'magically' power them as long as they're close enough to the power source. Happy decorating!

Lights in Fallout 4 work like they've got Wi-Fi, no direct plug needed. Just drop a generator, slap a power connector on a wall near your lights, and voila, let there be light! Remember, it's all about proximity. Keep it close, keep it lit.
Just smack a generator down and wire it up to a switch or a pylon nearby. Lights gotta be close though, or it's like trying to use a candle to light a room from outside the house. Keep it tight!
Nah, folks are complicating it. You just need a generator. Place lights near it. No need for wires to each lamp, this isn't the Stone Age. It's ambient power, baby.
