You can't connect a PS3 controller to iOS directly through Bluetooth. You'd need a jailbroken device and some extra software like Controllers for All or a similar app.

I tried this! You鈥檒l need a Mac or PC to first pair the PS3 controller to your iOS device using the Sixaxis Pair Tool. It's not super straightforward but totally doable.

Honestly, it's more hassle than it's worth. Just grab a newer controller like the PS4 DualShock. Those work without all the headaches.
