Unfortunately, the PS3 doesn't support 5GHz WiFi. You'll need to connect it to a 2.4GHz network instead.

Sorry, PS3 can only connect to 2.4GHz WiFi. Maybe try upgrading to a PS4 or PS5 for 5GHz support!
Just use a 2.4GHz network. PS3 can't do 5GHz. End of story.
