You’ll need an HDMI capture device. Connect the PS3 to the capture device using an HDMI cable, and then connect the capture device to your MacBook Pro using a USB cable. Voila!

I’ve had luck using Remote Play. Download the Remote Play app on your MacBook, sign in with your PlayStation Network account, and connect your PS3 controller via USB. Works like a charm!

You don’t. It's not worth the hassle. Just get yourself a newer console or a dedicated streaming device.

Use a program like PS3 Media Server! Just install it on your MacBook Pro, and then connect your PS3 and MacBook Pro to the same Wi-Fi network. You'll be streaming in no time!

Actually, just use a USB-to-Mini-USB cable. Plug the mini USB end into the PS3 controller and the USB end into your MacBook Pro. Now, you can use the controller to play games on your Mac!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
