Best bet is to get the WiFi password. If it's your network, check your router or ask whoever manages it. Alternatively, you could temporarily disable the password on your router, connect the PS3, then re-enable it—just be mindful of the security risks.

Unfortunately, the PS3 requires a password to connect to secured WiFi networks. If you want to avoid entering a password, you might connect to an open network, but those are pretty rare and not recommended for security reasons.

I’ve been using my PS3 for years, and there’s no way around entering a WiFi password for secured networks. Keep your gaming safe and just enter that password!

Yep, you gotta use the password. No getting around that unless it's an open network, which isn't secure to use anyway.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
