To connect your PS4 controller via Bluetooth, just press and hold the PS and Share buttons simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing. Then go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth Devices on your PS4, and select the controller from the list. Voila!

From my experience, just pressing those PS and Share buttons till you see some flashing lights, then finding the controller in Bluetooth Devices is the way to go. It's a quick setup!
