Just open the Alexa app, tap 'Settings', then 'Music & Podcasts', and select Spotify as your default service. Boom, you're ready to rock!
Ask Alexa to play from Spotify, she'll ask to connect it for you. Super easy, just follow her lead.
I did this last night! Just link your Spotify account in the Alexa app under 'Music & Podcasts'.
