How to Connect Steam Deck to Laptop
DepetallingMummy路7 months agoConnecting your Steam Deck to a laptop can't be done directly for playing Steam Deck games on your laptop screen, since the Steam Deck is essentially its own portable gaming PC. However, you can use Steam Remote Play to stream games from your Steam Deck to your laptop. Just make sure both devices are on the same network, enable Remote Play in the Steam settings on both your Steam Deck and laptop, and you're good to go! You'll be playing your Steam Deck games on your laptop in no time.

Actually, you can't 'connect' the Steam Deck to a laptop like you would with an external drive or a secondary display. The Steam Deck is a stand-alone device, not an accessory. For what you're asking, Remote Play is your best bet.
I've tried what you're asking, and trust me, it's all about that Steam Remote Play. It's like magic. Had a blast playing my Steam Deck games right on my laptop screen. Both devices need to be logged into the same Steam account, and make sure your internet connection doesn't lag. You literally can't connect them with a cable if that's what you're thinking.
