How to Connect Steam Deck to Steam Link
Easy peasy! First, make sure both your Steam Deck and the device with Steam Link app are connected to the same network. Then, fire up Steam on your Steam Deck, open the Steam Link app on your other device, and it should show your Steam Deck in the list of available devices. Tap on that and enter the PIN shown on your Steam Deck. Boom, connected!

Why bother with Steam Link when the Deck is already portable? Just take the Deck wherever you go.
Honestly, it's super straightforward. Just make sure your Steam Deck and the device you're using Steam Link on are on the same Wi-Fi. Open Steam on the Steam Deck and then the Steam Link app elsewhere, choose your Steam Deck from the list, put in the PIN, and you're all set to stream your games!
I did this for the first time last week; super simple. Both devices on the same Wi-Fi, start Steam on the Deck, use the Steam Link app on another device, and select your Deck from the device list. Enter the PIN from your Deck, and you're connected. Had a seamless gaming session on my TV through my Steam Deck.
