Make sure your wheel is compatible with the PS4. Some older models might need an adapter or just won鈥檛 work at all.
Plug your steering wheel into the PS4's USB port, then power on the console. Go to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Controllers' and ensure the steering wheel is recognized. If it's not, you might need to install the latest firmware for the wheel from the manufacturer's website.
From personal experience: Hook your wheel into a PS4 USB port, switch on the console, and it should auto-detect. If it doesn't, head to the settings and check under devices.
