How to connect a Switch Pro Controller to Steam Deck
Super easy! First, make sure your Steam Deck’s Bluetooth is turned on. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and look for your Switch Pro Controller in the list of devices. If it doesn't pop up right away, put your controller into pairing mode by holding down the sync button until the lights start flashing. Then select the controller from the list on your Steam Deck and voila! You're connected and ready to game.

I’ve been using my Switch Pro Controller with the Steam Deck for ages. The Bluetooth connection is solid, and it feels great for long gaming sessions. Remember to check the controller battery life though; it’s a bummer when it dies mid-game!
Honestly, just use a cable. The Switch Pro Controller uses a standard USB-C cable - same as the Steam Deck. Plug it in, and it should work straight away. No fuss with Bluetooth settings or worrying about battery life.
Nah, stick to the Steam Deck's own controllers. They're optimized for the device and you won't have to bother with Bluetooth or cables.
