I had the same issue and found that setting my server to 'North America' in PUBG Mobile fixed it. West Coast servers, here I come!

To connect to West Coast PUBG servers, simply go to the settings menu in PUBG Mobile, then select 'Server' and pick the 'North America' region. This should align you with the West Coast servers.
