How to Contain Corruption in Terraria
VitriolingMouth路8 months agoTo contain corruption in Terraria, start by digging a trench at least 6 blocks wide around the area you want to protect. Some players make it 10 blocks wide just to be safe! No corruption can cross this gap. For extra security, line the sides of the trench with materials corruption can't spread through, like clay or wood. Also, consider placing sunflowers near the edges of the corruption zone, as they prevent the corruption from spreading past them.

Digging trenches and lining them sounds good and all, but sometimes I just build a few good ol' corruption bombs and blast the area around my base. Not exactly a subtle method, but hey, if you're not up for a bit of world reshaping, what are you even doing in Terraria?
Sunflowers, my dudes. They stop the spread of corruption. Just plant them at the edge, and you're kinda set. Of course, don't forget to dig those trenches and maybe line them with something corruption-proof if you're really serious about this.
Honestly, just keep an eye on it and clean it up with the Clentaminator once it gets too close for comfort. It's like mowing the lawn but way more fun because you're blasting away evil with a giant hose.
