To convert from slope-intercept form (y = mx + b) to standard form (Ax + By = C), just rearrange the equation: move the 'mx' term to the left side, so it looks like: mx - y = -b. Then, multiply the whole equation by -1 if needed to get A positive.

Just move 'mx' from the right to the left, so you end up with: -mx + y = b, then adjust to get positive coefficients. Easy peasy!

My teacher taught me to shuffle 'mx' to the left, making it mx - y = -b, then tweak till A is positive!

I always rearrange y = mx + b to mx - y = -b, then simplify. Works every time!

Multiply through by -1 after arranging it to get positive A, and you're all set!
