Just buy it! Seriously, save yourself the hassle. I found my hazmat suit at a vendor. No crafting required. Check out the Whitespring Resort; vendors there sometimes sell it.

Craftin' a hazmat suit in Fallout 76 ain't rocket science, but you do need to hit up a few steps. First, roam the wasteland 'til you stumble upon the plan for the suit. These plans can be a rare find, so keep yer eyes peeled. Once you've got the plans, gather up the materials: you'll need rubber, plastic, glass, and some lead. Head over to an armor workbench and craft away! Keep in mind, having the Armorer perk can make things a tad easier by reducing the amount of materials you need.
Got mine through an event. Some events drop the hazmat suit as a reward, so keep an eye on event notifications. Also, check player vendors; you might get lucky and find one for sale.
