How to Craft Iron Bars in Terraria
Just mine for iron ore and smelt it in a furnace. 3 ores = 1 bar. Simple as that.

Honestly, why bother with iron when lead is just better? Use lead bars instead.
Easy peasy! First, make sure you've gathered some Iron Ore - you usually find it underground or in cave areas. Once you have enough, you'll need a Furnace. You can make a Furnace with 20 Stone Blocks, 4 Wood, and 3 Torches. Stand near the Furnace, open your crafting menu, and you should see the option to turn your Iron Ore into Iron Bars. Each bar requires 3 Iron Ore. Get smelting and you'll have your bars in no time!
