To start a new island in Animal Crossing, you gotta be ready to say bye-bye to your current island cause it's a fresh start. First, launch the game on your Nintendo Switch. Then, you need to go to the Switch's Home menu, hop into system settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data. Find Animal Crossing and delete that save. Boom! Once you boot up Animal Crossing again, you're set to create a brand new island paradise.

I once restarted my island cause I didn't like my layout, and yeah, deleting your save from settings works. But oh boy, saying goodbye to my old villagers was tougher than I thought. Still, building my new island was a blast!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
