Creating your own skins in War Thunder is a blast! First, go to the customization menu for your vehicle, then download the default skin template. Edit that bad boy in a graphics program (GIMP or Photoshop do wonders). Once you're done, import the skin back into the game. Boom, custom skin!
Honestly, just download the template, tweak it in Photoshop or GIMP, then re-upload. Takes some practice but totally worth it.
I've created tons of skins in War Thunder! The key is downloading the template for your vehicle, making your changes in a program like GIMP or Photoshop, and then uploading it back. It's so satisfying flying around in something you made!
