You need to use the Scissors tool to cut the vines! Find it in your inventory and you'll be able to snip away the pesky plants.
Nope, you don't actually cut the vines. You need a translator to talk to Stickbug, and then you can deal with vines blocking certain areas. Weird, I know!
Simple answer: You don't cut them. Use a translator from Science Bear!
