Been there, done that. Head to Settings, tap Your Facebook Information, and click Deactivation and Deletion. Hit Deactivate Account and you're good!
Open Facebook, go to Settings, then Your Facebook Information. Find and select Deactivation and Deletion. Choose Deactivate and you're all set.
