How to Deactivate Facebook on iPhone
Open the Facebook app, tap the three lines in the bottom right, go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings, and scroll down to Account Ownership and Control. From there, select Deactivation and Deletion, choose Deactivate Account, and follow the prompts!

Just did this last week. Go to Facebook app, tap the menu, hit Settings & Privacy, then Settings. Scroll to Account Ownership and Control, tap Deactivation and Deletion, then Deactivate Account.
