How to deactivate Instagram on phone

Super easy! Just go to your profile, tap the menu (three horizontal lines), head to Settings > Account > Deactivate Account. Done and done!
Real talk – you can only deactivate from the browser, not the app. Go to Instagram.com on your phone and log in, then hit Settings > Edit Profile > Temporarily Disable My Account.
