Once you've deactivated your Facebook account, open the Messenger app. Tap on your profile picture, go to 'Legal & Policies,' and select 'Deactivate Messenger.' Easy peasy!

Yeah, just because you deactivated Facebook doesn't mean Messenger is off too. Go into Messenger settings, find 'Legal & Policies,' and hit 'Deactivate Messenger.' Done and done.

You can deactivate Messenger by opening it, tapping your profile pic in the top left, selecting 'Legal & Policies,' and then 'Deactivate Messenger.' Simple as that!
