Deactivate Facebook, then go to Messenger settings. It鈥檚 a two-step process but totally doable.
To deactivate Messenger, you gotta deactivate your Facebook account first. Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion. After deactivating FB, log into Messenger, tap your profile picture in the top left, go to Legal & Policies, and hit Deactivate Messenger.
First, deactivate your Facebook. Then, in Messenger, go to your profile pic > Legal & Policies > Deactivate Messenger. Easy peasy!
