I've done this before! Just head to the PlayStation website, log in to your PSN account, go to 'Device Management' and choose 'Deactivate All Devices.' Super easy and worked like a charm for me.

Hot take: Just contact PlayStation support directly if you can't access the console. They can help you deactivate it remotely.

You can deactivate your PS4 account without the console by logging into your PlayStation Network (PSN) account on a web browser. Go to the account management section, find 'Device Management,' select 'PlayStation Systems,' and deactivate all your devices. This will deactivate your PS4 remotely.

Navigate to Sony's account management site, sign in, and under 'Device Management,' there's an option to 'Deactivate All' if you can't get to your PS4. Worked great for me when I had to do it.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
