Firstly, try connecting to the internet via an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi, as this can significantly decrease your ping by ensuring a more stable connection. Also, make sure to close any bandwidth-heavy programs running in the background, like streaming services or large downloads, to free up more of your internet for Valorant. Lastly, consider adjusting your game’s settings to lower graphics quality, which can sometimes help reduce lag.

Hot take: Just move closer to the server! Problem solved. ? But seriously, sometimes the simplest solution is to check if your gaming rig and internet plan are up to snuff for Valorant's needs.

I literally moved my gaming setup to use an Ethernet connection and saw my ping drop by like 50ms. Can confirm it works wonders. Also, keeping your system and the game updated helps avoid unnecessary lag caused by bugs.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
