Just head to your profile, navigate to your friends list, locate the friend you want to remove, click the three dots on their profile, and hit 'Unfriend'. It's gone like a ninja!

From my experience, go to your friends list, find them, click the three dots, and choose 'Unfriend'. I do it all the time to manage my friends list.
