From personal experience, the best way to delete an Xbox Live account is by closing your Microsoft account. I did it last year, and it's quite easy. Just head to the closure page, sign in, and complete the steps.

To delete an old Xbox Live account, you'll need to close your Microsoft account. Go to the Microsoft account closure page, sign in, and follow the steps. Remember, this deletes all services tied to that account!

Pro tip: Before you delete your Xbox Live account, make sure to use up any remaining balances or subscriptions. Once deleted, they're gone forever!

Just visit the Microsoft account closure page and follow the steps. It's pretty straightforward, but be sure you really want to delete everything linked to that account.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
