Just open Instagram settings, tap 'Help', then 'Help Center', and find 'Delete Account'. They have a specific page for it.
To delete your Instagram account on Android, open the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top right corner, select 'Settings', then 'Help', 'Help Center', and search for 'delete account'. Follow the instructions from there. Easy peasy!
