How to Delete Instagram Group Chat

Well, you can’t actually 'delete' it, but leaving the group chat hides it from your inbox. Better than nothing!
You can delete an Instagram group chat by opening the chat, tapping the info button (i icon), then selecting 'Leave Chat.' Once you leave, the chat will no longer be visible in your inbox.
Leaving the group is the only way to delete it. Tap the info button and then tap 'Leave Chat.'
